A wedding is a very special occasion and it is important that you book your musician as soon as the date is set. He may be able to take urgent bookings, but to be on the safe side, try to book at least six months in advance. 

Luis G. is familiar with hundreds of classical and contemporary pieces of music, from jazz, blues, ballads, pop, church music, and a versatile array of cultural selections, including Latino, Brazilian, Indian, and more. 

Yes, you may. Luis G. will work with you to compile a list of musical pieces that you can arrange the way you like. If you are unsure of your musical selection, please visit the Repertoire list in the "Price and Repertoire" page of this website, to look at  some choices. If you are still unsure, do not worry.  Luis G. will provide expertise musical advise to help you  select the best music for your wedding or special event. 

If you do not have a pre-made list of songs that you want Luis G. to play at your event, it's fine. Most clients don't. Once you describe your event and the ambiance you want to create,  he can help select the music for you. He'll create a unique musical program that is personalized for you event. Luis G has a knack for knowing what song is perfect for the right moment and whether it will create an emotional connection with the guests during the celebration. 

No. Luis G. does  not need to attend your wedding rehearsal. However, if you want him  to play  with another musician you have booked, then a rehearsal will be required. This will need to be booked separately from your event day and there will be an additional cost.  

If there are about 100 guests, there is no need for sound amplification. Luis is a seasoned  professional who is able to project the sound of his music so that everyone in the audience can hear his violin. However, if you have a bigger attendance, amplification will be required. In addition, if your event is being held outdoors, then amplification will be needed as well. But not to worry, Luis G. will bring his own equipment. Please keep in mind that if amplification is required,  a reachable source of electricity is needed.  

To ensure the quality of sound, stringed instruments  are very sensitive to very high (above 90F)  or very low temperatures (below 55F),  and thus  need to be protected from cool air as well as direct sunlight. They cannot be played  outside in the rain (as a tiny drop of rain or ocean mist can ruin the strings or wood, for example). If you want Luis G. to play outdoors, make sure the weather is dry and moderate. If not, you may need to erect a canopy or provide space heaters depending on the weather. Make sure you tell your wedding planner that you'll have a violinist. Provide him/her with Luis's contact and have him/her coordinate with Luis in preparation, to avoid any unwanted surprises.  It is important you understand the violin cannot be directly exposed to severe heat or cold, as unfortunately, Luis G. will not be able to provide refunds in the  instance of adverse weather conditions.

After Covid-19 pandemic, it is clear that none of us knows what tomorrow holds. Luis prioritizes the health and safety of his clients and guests. He will be happy to play for your event following  local, state, and federal Covid-19 guidelines, whatever these  may be at the time of your event. 

Yes. Luis plays many songs that are not in the list. If a song you want is not included in his repertoire, he can purchase it if available or make his own version and musical arrangement for you. The earliest you book your event, the more time he has to prepare for it. 

Luis G. typically arrives 30-45 minutes prior to the start of your event to set up and review the wedding ceremony or event with your planner. 

Luis G. is flexible to wear what will best suit your event. For weddings, he normally wears a formal attire, which may be  a vest, tie, and formal pants, with or without a jacket or a well-tailored suit. He will color coordinate upon specified request. For other events, he is willing to wear what is the most appropriate for the occasion and glad to consider your suggestion. 

For violin and acoustic guitar  ensembles, the musicians will do  the same. 

First, contact your musician  using the "contact Luis G."  form on this website to provide information about your special occasion. You will then need to sign a contract , which will be provided to you,  and pay a 50% deposit. Final payment is due 30 days before your event date. 50% deposit is the requirement to reserve/book a date/time.

An event may be cancelled at any time before the booked date. However, penalties will apply depending on when you cancel.  Once you book your event and provide the 50% deposit requested for reservation: a) If you cancel before 60 days of your reserved  date, the 50% deposit you provided will be totally refunded to you. b) If you cancel within  60  to 31 days of your reserved date, you will be reimbursed 25% of your deposit. c) cancellations  within 30 days of your booked date are non-refundable. 

 He will only cancel in the case of severe illness, sickness that is contagious or requires hospitalization, or death of a close family member. In such cases, Luis will  cancel  as soon as it  is obvious that he will not be able to perform at your event. (In such instances, Luis will attempt to connect the client with a substitute musician, but this is not a guaranteed available service). In addition, Luis will need to cancel in the case of serious accidents, or any unforeseen event of nature where a cancellation is absolutely paramount. If he cancels any booked event, the full refund in the amount the costumer has paid will be provided.
